Pat Sloan has been creating since she was a child. From the first shoebox dioramas to sketches for a fabric line, there has always been creative energy flowing. When she tried her hand at quilting in 1989, she never looked back. During a career in computers as a software developer and project manager she started her design business in the evenings and weekends. Then in 2000 she and her husband decided to take the leap and open their family business full time. You'll find Gregg managing all the all the behind the scenes activities.
Pat's quilts have been published in all the national magazine since 1998. She now has over 25 published books with Leisure arts, many patterns, and she hosts American Patchwork & Quilting radio show which is heard around the globe on the internet.. and they are recorded for you to listen to at any time!
Coming from a technology background, Pat has been on a computer since she was 16 years old and the machine took up the entire back of her math class.  A self proclaimed 'Geek' she loves the internet and you will find her at all the best places. She has built blogs, quilting yahoo groups, forums, facebook communities, and even the group “Quilters in Second Life” for quilting enthusiasts using the popular virtual world, Second Life.
Look for Pat in your area, she and Gregg travel all over the world to visit quilters and play with fabric!  Pat’s overall passion has always been to help others harness their creative energy.

Pat will be working with Bigfork Bay Cotton Co. on a block of the month, Red Apple Lane.

We fell in love with Brigitte's clean simple lines at market when her booth was right next to ours.
A former interior designer and student of textile design, Brigitte Heitland has been sewing since she was a young girl. Coming from making her own clothes, German Brigitte learned only a few years ago about quilting, but was at once hooked on. She brings her modern and sophisticated style in her quilts characterized by shrewd simplicity, harmonious color and class workmanship. Brigitte launched her brand ZEN CHIC in 2010 and designs not only quilt patterns but also her own fabric lines. Besides she is an experienced longarm quilter and since modern quilting is so dear to her heart she teaches different classes about contemporary quilting techniques and good use of color. Brigitte is mother of three children and lives with her family in Germany. To learn more about her style you’re invited to visit her website http://www.brigitteheitland.de/

Be sure and stop by Moda's booth at Quilt Market to meet these 3 talented ladies. as well as see everything else new and exciting. If you are not  coming to market, stop back by the Cutting Table blog for a full after market interview from the new designers and pictures of their fabrics and projects.
