Wishing You a Sweet Holiday Season

Whether it’s a quilt or a sweet treat, nothing beats homemade during the holidays. The Moda elves stay busy all year long designing and sewing up fabric projects to share with you all, but during the holiday season, we like to add snacks and treats to the mix as well. There’s usually a new goodie in the office kitchen every day in December – many of them made by Tammy.

Our dear friend Tammy Vonderschmitt is retiring after 10+ years at Moda. She worked in the Customer Service department before moving over to the Marketing team, where she has been an indispensable asset thanks to her technical sewing expertise, her deep knowledge of quilting history and techniques, and her experience as a former quilt shop owner and quilting instructor. Not only is she a masterful (and FAST!) quilter, but she’s a wonderful human being who is always there for all of us “girls” on the team, ready to provide sage advice on any topic, quilting-related or not. We are truly going to miss her and her sunny presence in the office, but she has promised to keep sewing for us – so we’ll still get to see her regularly!

This week, Tammy made her grandmother’s peanut butter fudge for us, and I can tell you from personal experience that it was DELISH. So good, in fact, that Tammy once got a blue ribbon from the state fair with this recipe!

We think you can never have too many recipes, so we’re sharing this one with you. (Click the recipe image for a downloadable PDF version!)

From all of us at Moda, we wish you and yours a lovely holiday season. And Tammy, thank you for all you’ve done for us over the years!
