Fall in Love with Magic Dot and Valentine Vibes: Lella Boutique’s New Collections

We are thrilled to introduce two brand new collections from Lella Boutique, designed by the talented Vanessa Goertzen. In her latest showcase filmed at H+H Americas back in April, Vanessa shared a sneak peek into what’s coming this fall, along with the stunning quilt patterns she’s created for each collection

H+H Americas is a premier trade show for the handicrafts industry, bringing together top designers, retailers, and makers from around the world. Hosted in Chicago, this event showcases the latest trends, innovations, and products in crafts, sewing, quilting, and more. For designers like Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique, it's the perfect platform to unveil exciting new collections and connect with the quilting community. Whether you’re discovering new fabrics, tools, or techniques, H+H Americas is the place where creativity and craftsmanship meet.

Magic Dot Collection

First up is the Magic Dot collection, a continuation of Vanessa’s signature use of vibrant, vericolor dots. These dots have always been a fan favorite and are perfect for backgrounds, borders, and backings. In the Magic Dot collection, you'll find a blend of bestselling colors along with some exciting new additions. Even better—this collection now comes with pre-cuts!

Featured Magic Dot Quilt: Spring Fling

Vanessa has brought back her ever-popular Spring Fling quilt, originally made in Folktale fabric, and reimagined in Magic Dots. The contrast of the bold green background paired with delicate flower motifs creates a striking visual that’s sure to impress. To make this quilt, you’ll need fat eighths for the flower centers, fat quarters for the petals, and half yards for the leaf and stem units. The Magic Dot collection will be available in October, so be sure to request it from your local quilt shop soon!

Featured Magic Dot Quilt: Glam Squad

In addition to Spring Fling, Vanessa also showed off her Glam Squad quilt, a mesmerizing geometric design that plays with overlapping block illusions. This quilt can be made with a dessert roll (5-inch pre-cut strips) or fat eighths, making it both versatile and fun to create.

Featured Magic Dot Quilt: Persnickety

For something a little different, the Persnickety quilt showcases a charming herringbone design. It can be made with a layer cake for the multicolored version or two charm packs for a more subdued look. Both options offer endless creative possibilities.

Love Blooms Collection

Shipping in November, the Love Blooms collection is perfect for Valentine’s Day, but it offers year-round versatility. The collection features a mix of hearts, boho arrows, checkerboard prints, and florals, all designed to evoke a sense of love and whimsy.

Featured Love Blooms Quilt: Playing Cupid

The standout quilt from this collection is Playing Cupid, a layer cake quilt that showcases whimsical hearts and arrows, made even more delightful with Vanessa’s signature goldie magic dot fabric.

Featured Love Blooms Quilt: Flower Press

Another favorite is the Flower Press quilt, which incorporates vibrant greens and grays from the Magic Dot line to give the flowers a fresh, modern look. The quilt features a charcoal backdrop that really makes the colors pop, offering a unique twist on traditional floral quilts.

Featured Love Blooms Quilt: Beloved

If you're a fan of pink, the Beloved quilt is for you. This fat quarter pattern pairs sweet hearts with a pastel pink background for a truly charming design.

Featured Love Blooms Quilt: L-O-V-E

And finally, the L-O-V-E quilt is a fun and playful pattern made with fat eighths, and the design even mirrors a print from the Love Blooms collection!
